Landscape watercolors for sale, and I accept commissions for
original watercolor paintings of your
favorite view.
Thanks for stopping by! Now that you’ve had a chance to look at my
watercolor paintings on the Gallery page, let me repeat that I offer landscape
watercolors which are for sale and I also accept commissions for original
watercolor paintings of your favorite
view. Though numbered, these paintings are
not in chronological order. But since I often paint several pictures from the
same areas, I found that using a number and location was the easiest way to
title and organize them.
Each picture is matted, and ready for framing -- dimensions
are indicated. They come in an acid-free acetate sleeve for protection. All my pictures are for sale, unless
otherwise noted as SOLD, or in PRIVATE COLLECTION. Ideally, I would love for
you to see my paintings in person, but a website is a convenient way to reach
more people, and I’ve tried to make the photos of them look their best!
All of my paintings are from photographs I’ve taken, and so I
have a personal connection to them….a feeling I get when I look at them, and a
reminder of a place and a time in my life.
I have given paintings as gifts for special occasions. Every one of my family
members has asked me if I would be willing to paint some of their favorite
places from their photographs, and I have loved the challenge of capturing
something special and meaningful for each of them. Over the years, I have filled every wall
available to me with my paintings.
So now, with this blog, I plan on posting my pictures as I paint them. Wherever I travel, I have an eye open for
good subject matter. I want to add
locations from all over the world. If
you have traveled somewhere and didn’t have time to buy original artwork at a
local gallery or gift shop, perhaps you’ll find something here that just feels
right to you. Or I can paint something
for you from your own travel photos.
If you have a photo that you treasure, of a place that you
hold dear, I am happy to consult with you about translating that photo into a
watercolor painting. I will tell you honestly if I feel I can do it justice. I
prefer to focus on landscapes; I don’t do portraits. My goal is to capture the
light, the color, and the “feeling” of a place. And all of my commissions are
guaranteed. If you don’t love the
result, you are not obligated to buy it.
If you are interested, please contact me and we can discuss
options, prices, and a timeframe.
Again, thanks for stopping by to look! I’m always painting,
so check back for updates. And remember, an original artwork becomes a family
treasure for you or, perhaps, a unique gift for someone else.
